Breakfast Rice Burger Recipe

Breakfast is more than bread, pastries and cereal. Some of us may find it too heavy to consume rice as a breakfast item, but there are other ways to use rice to switch things up in the morning.

Many of us are familiar with rice burger from Mos Burger, yes, we love them too! In this recipe, we will be sharing with you a Breakfast Rice Burger that you can easily make at home.

It is versatile, you can replace the filling with other ingredients that you prefer. However, do note that this recipe calls for short-grain rice due to its starchiness, otherwise it is difficult to stick the rice together. Overnight rice can be used but do warm it up before shaping them for easier work

Before shaping the rice, make sure to wet your hands with a bowl of water on the side so to avoid the rice sticking on your hands.

If you have trouble shaping the rice patties with your hands, use a circular egg shaper or cookie cutter to place it on the pan to press down on the rice to shape and pan fry.

Add Alchemy Fibre™ For Rice for a healthier meal

With a similar price point, preparing this at home allows you to make a portion suitable for a group of 3 to 4 pax and create a healthier version. One way to make your rice patties healthier is to add Alchemy Fibre™ For Rice when cooking the rice. Doing so will help to increase the fibre content of the meal (10x fibre of regular white rice) and help to lower the glycemic index of rice.
