Celebrating World Hospice and Palliative Care Day 2021

At Alchemy Foodtech, we want to impact health outcomes by “Empowering Healthier Meals”
World Hospice & Palliative Care Day (WHPCD) is an annual unified day of action to celebrate and support hospice and palliative care around the world by showing the world how the importance of palliative care. It is a day to reinforce the need to make sure everyone has access to palliative care when they need, regardless of their age and background.
As part of the events leading up to WHPCD 2021, Alchemy Foodtech is pleased to support the CSR efforts of Singapore Hospice Council to provide rice meals made healthier by Alchemy FibreTM and sponsor Alchemy FibreTM For Rice retail packs to healthcare workers and patients in the South West CDC zone. This initiative was planned to recognise the efforts of health care workers for their contributions. The rice meals were packed and sponsored by Han’s Union, a partner of Alchemy Foodtech, that has started to incorporate the fibre into all their rice-based dishes for higher fibre and lower GI rice. This use of Alchemy FibreTM is a way for Han’s Union to meet consumers’ needs of desiring healthier options in foods. Han’s Union builds on the tradition of Han’s, a café known for great local fare and has now expanded offerings for greater variety to appeal to both younger and mature diners.
In line with the theme of “Leave No One Behind”, the gifting also extended to elders at some elders care facilities so that healthier meals can be made available to more beneficiaries.
Gift packs consisting of Alchemy FibreTM retail packs and other sponsored products were also distributed to health care workers and patients as part of this initiative.
